What could be better than attending a state fair? Attending a state fair in Hawaii! This Honolulu Event has been drawing crowds since it began in 1947. Back then it went by a different name: The 49th State Fair. Once it was clear that Alaska would actually be the 49th state of the Union, Event organizers changed the name to reflect that. While the name has changed, the food, games and fun stayed the same, and the 50th State Fair remains one of Oahu’s top annual Events.
